Wasnt the 4th question a normal distribution one?

Where you had to find mew in terms of sigma or something??

PS -  the mew and sigma Q was 3 marks

yeah
i remember
first part was
5 sigma=3 Mew  or other way round

(x<1/3mew)=0.82222 something

second the relationship was different
but it came something like in the end
mew/5/3 sigma=something
and i made the equation

i needed to get this right to have a chance of permutations combination question(if i get it wrong) being compensated.

for the graph (Q3) in ppr 62..
u could only possible get the median and the quartiles and the interquartile range..
how could you possible get the mean, for the mean you would have to add thee the 900 values and then divide by 900 which would tale ages
and standard divation wasnt possible either!
normally for cumulative frequesncy, all you have to calculate is median and the quartile stuff.

for the last question (Q7) in ppr 62
for part 3 , they asked for the way 3 out of 9 cards cud be arranged so isnt that just 3!=6..
for part 4 , they asked for different ways of the pink card >
P > pink    N > normal
NNN (*3)
NPN
PNN
NNP
 so there are 3 arrangments..
for part 5, they asked how many do not have the pink card next to the green card
G > green
NPG
NGP
PNG
PGN
GNP
GPN
 so thats only 2 arrangements

i am sure about about Q3 but i am only 80% sure about Q7..
hope i helped!

what about mode
its also possible right
because most babies had 4 kg i guess
so thats the modal value

I only did median mode negative positive skew thingy(lol i dont know why)

if u look through old pastpapers
they give us the data and then tell us to plot a graph of cumulative frequency and then ask us to do the median and interquartile range.

for this question the only difference was that they plotted the graph and told us to calculate the stuff..
which should be median and interquartile range..
since this is cumulative frequency, i dont think we could have done any other stuff..
we could have done the other stuff if it had been frequency density graph, which it was not..

You can get mean

Make boundaries, and find the cumulative freq for each range

Subtract to find the frequency of that range

Use mid point of each group and find the mean like that

Kind of working opposite to getting at CF

As for Q7

They want any 3 in a line so its 9P3
Then you multiply the probability of getting a pink by 9P3
and the prob of not getting pink and green together ( you found it in the first 2 parts) by 9P3

yeah u can get mean like that.. but when ever there is a question for cumulative frequency, its always median and the quartile stuff..
maybe thts ryt for Q7..// oh well i dunno.
