Most salts are ionic, formed by strong base and acid, and are almost indestructible, so I guess nothing will happen
On the other hand, acid MAY dissolve part some insoluble salt (like carbonates)

However, what happen mostly depend on the acid that make the salt. If it is weak (like H2CO3), the salt are dissolve by the stronger acid (carbonates make bubbles when dropped into HCl, for example).
Salt from strong acid doesn't react, even when put into an another strong acid (like BaSO4 doesn't dissolve in water)

i hve a few Qs......

1) Are metal oxides more reactive dan metals demselves......eg copper oxide???
2)some1 in this forum said da 2 anions NO3 is below OH in reactivity.....but in da (chem)guide it has been mentiond above OH??
3)can some1 answer this Q again plzzz....
Q...If lead is above hydrogen in the reactivity series then why is lead formed instead of hydrogen in the electrolysis of aqueous lead nitrate ???

u hv to know the solubility guide
its given here https://studentforums.biz/index.php/topic,7663.0.html

thanks foh your efforts but the solubility guide and the guides in textbuks dont actually talk bout non-metals!!!!they only refer to
metals!!!!plus they dont talk bout oxides either so much!!!i tried lukin foh answers on google but didnt find nythin nd sum solubility tables were kinda biased!!!

oh!! is ther a way of knowing which gases are heavy? ....or do we jus stik to wat's given in textbuk?
You gotzz to cheel!!!! tuh-may-toez and un-yunz!!!

You mean the density?  ???
Cuz i thought were only meant to know how the density differs from one group and another, and down the group.

not exactlyy!!!i meant like when you make and then collect the gas thru downward or upward delivery or over water.
eg. chlorine is lighter than oxygen evn though it has a higher proton and mass number!!
so...my question is dat how wud we noe this for oder gases?? or do we just have to stik to the gases mentioned in the textbuk??

That is density ;)
if the gas is less dense than air, you can use upward delievery to collect it, cuz itll be above air, its lighter=less dense.
But if a gas id more dense than air then you use downward delivery cuz the gas will not float above air itll sink to the bottom of the cylinder.
Same thing for water.  ;)
Get it now?

Its residue, they use it to make roads, not as a fuel  ;)
