read the previous replies and u'll kno ....but By the way ur answer is right but what equations did u use ..in other words , how did  solve it ? .... i got it 18smthn which is wrong -_-

First of all, you had to calculate the distance traveled by Alonso, i.e area under the graph. Which was 130m.
As they both traveled the same distance, and in the same time too, the area under the graph of boris's graph should also be 130 m.
It was a traingle, so area = 1/2 X b X h
                            130 = 1/2 X 16 X v   (height was v, the maximum speed)
                                v=16.25 m/s

OR.

Using Alonso's distance and time, you could find the average speed, 130/16 = 8.125 m/s.
Then, using the formula, (physics) (initial speed + final speed)/2 = avg. speed, you could find the final speed, i.e v m/s, using 0 m/s as the initial as he started from rest.

Both techniques are correct.

Take it from me; the order of rotational symmetry was ZERO
the David Rayner textbook endorsed by CIE has an example stating that a semi-circle has rotational symmetry of order 1.
order one is the same as zero!

this is the only part i did okay ...then i added 10 to it for no reason ..idk...but atleast the examiner might give me half the mark ..anyways thx alot mate :D

I hated the paper.
It was 387638956395 times harder than the past papers and I royally messed up :(
Guess I have no other choice but to work my butt off for paper 4 :/

I hope they ease up on paper f4 a bit... but yo! i heard that there aint gunna be any graph questions or anything like that. i mean, like there will be, but everythings on the actual paper, so you dont need to draw the axis and stuff. is that legit?

You might need to label the axis and stuff, but draw, I don't think so. More so, I am a bit fretful about what kind of sequences question (the one at the end) that may be asked.

Yeah, haven't you seen the 2009 papers?
Everything is ON the booklet! Just like a paper 2, but lengthier. :)

So? Make the axis. It's not rocket science. We've been doing it before.
Just like a plain sheet of graph. You know what to do. Why hesitate?
