Not one that I can find. Anyway I don't like the idea of a witchhunt. Freedom and privelege also mean there will be some mistakes. You take it all in the round. I think overall the forum is as well managed as it can be, and I still think there is a good chance the topic can be restored.

i dont want it to be a witch hunt either, but its possible that whoever deleted it might not even be aware that it was done with his/her account. It's possible that his/her account was hacked and the hacker did it. So its important to know who did it. Im sure there shud be a log system as there is for both vB n phpBB

but it will be a good idea to hav a look at who actually did it ..

maybe he did it while making the topic sticky or something :S ... bymistake ..
or even if he did it puposely its better we know it ..so we can either warn him or xplain to him.her the mistake ...

The programmer replied today. Dispensing pearls of wisdom, he said 'who the **** deleted the topic?'

I spent an hour after sweetsh told me about this problem yesterday, but I couldn't find anything about the thread, simply error logs telling me that the thread had disappeared.

To me, this means that the thread wasn't deleted by Mods or Admins. At least I hope this is the case. I tried to find a way of replacing the thread but it was to no avail and I'm glad that astar has managed to get backups to reinstate the thread.
