for q31,o/n 2005 why is the ans A, when resistor is being used

when the switch is closed the current takes the simpler route through the switch(where there is no resistor) and does not pass through R(this is called short circuit). This results in the lamp becoming brighter(as current through it increases)

For Q.33 it's A again because the fuse is connected in the main wire...and not to individual components(i hope u get that). SO if this fuse melts all the lamps stop working

wire is carrying current into the paper so thumb points downwards..this will result in a field shape like B

refration occurs when speed and wavelength of the waves change..there is nothing of that sort happening. When circular wavelets form it is duffraction(in this case thru a wide gap)

average speed=total distance/total time

total distance-25x3=75km
time=0.5hrs
therefore speed=75x2=150km/hr
