My teacher used this one:

Popular= potassium
Scientist= Sodium
Can= Calcium
Make= magnesium
A= aluminium
Zoo= zinc
In= iron
The= tin
Low= lead
Country= copper
Side= silver

Kinda lame but I remember it better. just the gold and platinum missing... :-\
