And its true, the first question, the rotational symmetry was 0. Cause you cant have a rotational symmetry of 1.

As far as i know, i lost out on the sinx - cosx = 0.5... i messed that sh*t up....

the rotational symmetry was 1. u can hve a rotational symmetry of 1!!

Is there Rotational Symmetry of Order 1 ?
Not really! If a shape only matches itself once as you go around (ie it matches itself after one full rotation) there is really no symmetry at all, because the word "Symmetry" comes from syn- together and metron measure, and there can't be "together" if there is just one thing.)

Umm, looking forward to paper 4 now.
What's done is done.
So I screwed up a question worth 2 marks. Just hope I get 1/2 of those for the working.
Let's not dwell on past mistakes. That just ruins the future too.

So, Paper4?
Shitty questions: Probability and Sequence.
That's all I fear for.

from a website >>Is there Rotational Symmetry of Order 1? Not really! If a shape only matches itself once as you go around (ie it matches itself after one full rotation) there is really no symmetry at all, because the word "Symmetry" comes from syn- together and metron measure, and there can't be "together" if there is just one thing.)
from a different site >>  "A" has got rotational symmetry of order 1. This is just a complicated why of saying that you can not turn "A" around to any other position so it looks the same.
So rotational symmetry order of 1 means NO rotational symmetry (we can't rotate it).

----does this mean that the first answer could be 1 OR 0 or what?

EDIT: shazizzle, looks like we both ended up at google for the same reason! haha :P

You wrote what you thought. And It's 1 mark. So it's their problem now. :P

I think they should accept both.

Or ima march all the way down there and shove this site into their faces. XD

Take it from me; the order of rotational symmetry was ZERO

Borat, 16.25 SMILE :)

Golden girl, you find alonso's total distance (area under the graph) and get 130m
then for boris you do 1/2 x v x16=130
v=16.25

time for me to go hit the books!
