i'm planning to buy a dell laptop (studio design)..with almost the same config.

4 GB ram...500 GB HDD...etc.

Rs 45,000/-

I got a Dell inspiron 1564, da motherboard crashes within a year.. :( da warranty dosent cover it...
So how cn i find cheap replacement(i no clue abt da model num ???), because da dell agent charges an equivalent 2 a new laptop..

Ok so. . . my laptop (Sony Vaio) screen is gone all weird. When I switch it off, it's all white. When I switch it on- it's all flashy.  :-\ Like there's 'spotlight' kinda light below the screen. =[
Please help me some one!

I got this from yahoo answers:

Well... if you see the white as soon as you hit the power button (or within 5 seconds of doing so), your Motherboard is the problem, meaning that you'll have to replace the laptop. If it turns white like 10-30 seconds after you hit the power button, then it's the software, meaning that you'll have to either replace the hard drive, or reinstall the OS.

Romy I'd say you first reinstall your windows
