A  because infra-red waves have shorter wavelength and also it comes before visible light.. so tht gives us a hint.

i think its B

because " 1g, 2g, 2g, 5g" ----can be put like this

         1g, 2g, 2g              5g
              X                     Y

Theres no such question on year 98 question 24 abt lamps??? and question 18.. as it stats tht wave travell slower in shallow.. so we see which is the closet point from the drop.. tht is A.. so the answer is A.

if resistor works then less current will flow through the resistor n more will flow through the lamp side.. so this makes the lamp brighter. so the answer is B.

sry i dnt get that cuz if resistor was not there then the whole battery current will be flowed to the lamp but when connected then voltage will be shared but same current so it will not be brighter or dimmer it will be the same cuz it is in series and the current is the same so why they choose brighter
