hey thank you for your replies! sorry i took long to reply lol been focusing alot on some stuff

anyways id also like to ask, now for applying to an american university, i need to convert my IGCSE and A-levels into the GPA
can i know how each grade is calculated and converted? like how much is an A worth and a B and etc..

thank you :)

Blizz_rb93:
please can anyone let me know how can i convert my IGCSE and A-levels into GPA !!

Lana Wolf:
Well from what my frnd had told me awhile back.. Its something like this..

A=4 B=3 C=2 D=1

I'll try explaining with an example..

Okay.. so lets say you have 4 subjects.. 2 A's and 2 B's

so it'll be like = 4+4+3+3
                  = 14

And now divide it by the total number of subjects.. 14/4= 3.5 thats your gpa :D

Thats how i know it..

Try checking this too http://web.mit.edu/registrar/gpacalc.html#gpa

And idk what you do with A*'s ..

Hope i helped.. Though i don't think they'll ask your gpa.. sat scores..toefl and just your grades shud be enough i think :)

Blizz_rb93:
yeah i kno those but i mean how do i gather the total for the olvl and a-lvl? like does each have diff numbers?

nah i dont need the toefl lol, im american im jus livin outstate, the university in florida told me that they'll convert my igcse and a-level into american credits and they'll need the sat that's all but the thing is they need a minimum gpa of 3.0 so i wanna see what i need to score this year to get smth real high

Lana Wolf:
okay.. i ddnt know you lived there..

I dont think you have to combine them.. As far as i know..they look at both separately ..  :-\
