What qualifies for CAS ?

Can some one xplain this CAS stuff to me,i dnt get te very basics of it,i did  refer to the preexisting topic,but tht was beyond me since ai dnt know scant bout the CAS thingy.And please list activites tht qualifiy for CAS hours and i live in INDia,Mumbai,so if any one from around here could give any suggestions then id be reall happy.
