Is it fine,if one registers for ENGLISH AS A FIRST LANGUAGE & ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE in IGSCE board ??

itx damn urgent for me to know abt it..so any1 can help..??

I don't know about that but I don't think it is allowed. You can just wait till someone logs in and tells you about it or you can contact the British Council itself.

Listen, IGCSE is not difficult. There are many subjects out there which you can score high grades in.

Which subjects are you taking ?

i hv taken..Economics,Business studies,Accounting already..& nw i need two mre subjectz..so im thinkin to go for eng as first n second language!! :-\

i hv no knowledge abt ARABIC , MATH , ICT
Math is nt essential in my uni..

js lemme know if i cn get done wid english as first n second language!! :-\

even tho math is not essential in uni ..i think u should take it in IGCSE ... u can drop it in A levels

You cannot give both First Language English (0500) and Second Language English (0510) in the SAME sitting. But you can give them both in different sittings.

This is written in the Syllabus of First language English (0500):
Quote
Exclusions
This syllabus must not be offered in the same session with any of the following syllabuses:
0510 English as a Second Language
1115 English Language (Caribbean)
1119 English Language (Malaysia)
1120 English Language
1123 English Language
1125 English Language (Mauritius)
1126 English Language Syllabus B (Mauritius)

And yes, First Language English is very tough and requires a lot of hard work to score an A or an A*.

You can take English as a first language from one board and as a second language from another board.

That is the only way that you can do it.

i will better take eng as a second language.. & i need anothr subject 2 make it 5 in total!!

wt else subjects r easier in IGCSE 2 take?? :(

Try french as second language....it's fun and easy...except for the listening paper.

or you could take up math...

Art and Design is not easy but you don't have to study as such...take it up...if and only if you're a good artist...CIE is not lenient with Art students
