What abt advertisements on filing taxes, consumer rights, etc that the government makes...I think they're informative....I see no manipulation

I don't think it depends on whether the government is directly engaged in them or not. It depends on how corrupt the government is.

Wanna-be capitalists will argue manipulation gives profits to Companies. Who could in result use that money to invest thereby generating employment through out the country.

Wanna-be Marxists will argue Needs and safety of consumers should be the priority of the State or Local Government.

In Saudi Arabia,most of them are informative.

But advertisements appeal so much to the mass...Or should I say hypnotise the mass that it wouldn't be wrong to call them manipulative.
