Guys can you all please help me on English paper 3 in india my sir says it is tough and we will be doing that instead of coursework what are mainly these two things i have a brief idea about it but can someone who's already given such a paper tell me something about this..??

Okay IGCSE FIRST LANGUAGE ENGLISH 0500/03 (paper 3) is mainly "Directed Writing and Composition" where in section 1 you got Directed writing in which they will give you a situation/scenario/case, which you need to adapt it and thoroughly understand and answer a question on the same.

The questions might range from Letter Writing, Diary Writing, Dialogue, Speech, Report, Leaflet etc. (you cannot predict which one will possibly appear, once in some session students had to write a Tour guide or something, I dont exactly remember.)[25 marks]

Sections 2 is about Compositions, which a choice of 6 titled under Argumentative/discursive writing, Descriptive writing and Narrative writing. So you can choose any one suiting your type of writing.[25 marks] Only way to prepare yourself for this section(also the paper) would be solving each and every topic from the past paper and get it corrected by you teacher.

What exactly do you want to know? That would also help...

I've got a few notes too on how to write essays, summaries, style analysis/writer's effects etc. I need to search them I'll try posting them. ;)

never mind By the way +rep for the big explanation which was very helpful and believe i read it all(i am very honest..;))
and about coursework it's okay you don't know but does anyone know about it??

yes I really hope someone gives an explanation for coursework. ;) I'll somehow try to learn about it too.

i have my boards next year long time but this year is more tougher than the board also 'cause most of the syllabus get's over right now only...
ahh good for you enjoy your vacations and so late dinner is not good i had my dinner before 8:00 i always do you feel light when you go to sleep...;) but anyway your life live it the way you want...
so wat plans for the vacations..??

haha thanks for the advice! :D No long vacation for me, schools starting on the 1st :-\ Dont worry after school starts mom wont let me be so disorganised! :D
