I am a prepare-by-self kind of student as well. There are really no aids for studying paper 5 for chemistry, but I suggest you use time to look at past papers, esp. Papers 3 so that you get used to laboratory language and experiment technique. Next, I suggest you get a register of all the measuring apparatus and their capacities. Some questions require a first-hand knowledge of them but if you can't get that, you'll have to make do with just a theoretical knowledge. Hope this helps.

he(she) means to read about the standard measuring apparatus and their corresponding standardised volumes.
eg. Measuring cylinder: 10, 50, 100, 200, 500 cm3 (and so on)
Burette: 50.00 cm3
Pipette: 25.0, 50.0 cm3

as well as some other apparatus used to measure temperature, current, mass
take note of the decimal place!

Read the examiner reports too. They are really helpful.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But in practice, there is.
