how do u differentiate between aluminum and lead ions???
how do u differentiate between ketones and aldehydes???
how do u differentiate between the halogens???
how do u differentiate between sulfates and sulfites???
How do u test for carboxylic acids...
how do u test for alkanes and alkenes?

here is the answer
1.by using chromate it gives ppt with lead and clear solution with aluminum
2.tollens and 2,4-dinitoro..........
3.don't know ???
4.written in the last paper of the exam
5.don't know ???
6.don't know ???

for carboxylic acids .. add metal carbonate and CO2 wil be produced// test with lime water//

for the last one.. add bromine water... the alkane will stay a brown solution bt the alkenes will change to a colourless..bcoz of the double bond!! ..

the graph was weird...
but identifying the cations was easy..
finding the enthalpy change many guyz got different values...
so overall i think the paper was a litlle bit hard...

ooooh paper 32 is the worseee, i studied really hard for titration and it didnt come the titration thing... and suddenly the people from cambridge POP out of nowhere..  :-[
