This was from the ER for this question.  I'm concerned about the 2nd sentance, does it mean the micropyle is not at C, and in fact the blue line is correct?  Please can someone explain!

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!
I got this answer from my past papers...I solved it with my teacher Dr. Hala Mahfouz (Best IGCSE teacher 2008 & 2009)

Mark Scheme: C – ovule/embryo sac...this means that it must enter through c !!

Using a control in an experiment.

So say catalase (enzyme) breaks down hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen.

Then normally, you put the catalase into test tube and see if there is effervescence.

The control for this experiment would be: don't add catalase into test tube, and see what is the observation (should be no effervescene).

Therefore the purpose of the control for this experiment is to ensure that catalse is what causes oxygen to be produced, and not any other factor/variable.

Has that helped?

No those are variables.  See my previous post.  Hopefully, I've explained it well!

Nah!  You might get asked to draw stuff, but they give you a copy for you to do so anyway!
