Can u explain how do we find the direction an alpha or beta particle travels through magnetic feild?
And wats the basic difference between electric and magnetic field...Always confuses me :D

electric field you always have two plates Positve and negative ( electric )

in this case alpha ( + ) move to the negative   / Beta ( - ) move to the posotive plate


Magenetic field

you have  2 poles.. NORTH POLE AND SOUTH pole.. THE MAGNETIC FIELD IS ALWAYS FROM NORTH TO SOUTH

This is a bit hard to find the direction but if u understand the folowing its pice of cake

We use FLEMMING LEFT HAND RULE TO FIND THE DIRECTION OF OF MOVEMENT OF WIRE  ( CONVECTIONAL CURRENT IN WIRE )
We know that electrons ( beta )  flow opposite to convectional current . And since electrons move opposite to convectional current that means alpha particles move opposite to beta . ( IN CONCLUSION )

IF YOU FIND USING FLEMMIN LEFT HAND RULE DIRECTION OF MOVEMENT  YOU FIND THE CONVECTIONAL CURRENT AND ALPHA
if you want to find movement of beta particles ..just fidn the movemnt of convectional current and and beta will move opposite.

OK, Kimo Jesus has asked me to post this, in response to the question found in attached file:

and wat r de methods for changing resistance in relation to length,thickness,area,temp etc of wire?

Decrease. Power dissipated in a power cable is calculated by the equation P = I^2 R

Decreases the length, increasing the thickness, increasing the area, decreasing the temperature (metal), increasing the temperature (semiconductor) would help to reduce the temperature. A nichrome wire has more resistance than a copper wire.
Do not go where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.
