Young= (F/A)/(delta L /L) we can also rite this Y=FL/Adelta L
lets consider P
Y = FpL/Adelta L
now Q
Y= F2L/(a/2 x delta l )
so Y= Fq4L/A delta L rite

now equate them
FpL/Adelta L=Fq4L/A delta L
FpL/A=Fq4L/A
Fp/Fq = 4/1
