Physics paper 6
« on: May 06, 2010, 02:10:00 pm »
I read this tip of Physics P6 Can somebody tell me how to do that or perform it

"know how to arrange a set square either side of a cylinder/sphere to measure diameter"

One more tip was there which said
in light experiments using objects, lenses and a screen
try to use a translucent screen
but why ?????????????

One more tip was when measuring an interval of time explain how to use a fiducial aid at the centre of the oscillation
I dont know.............
Thx

If the sky is the limit, then what is space, over the limit?

Usually for a cylinder two rectangular blocks are used .. its mentioned in the question .. i seriously dont kno abt a setsquare .. a setsquare is used to determine how perpendicular and object is to a given base .. like checking whether a scale is exactly 90o to the base ..

if ur talking abt a translucent screen being used in light experiments .. i personally think (after thinkin a lot!) ..

u are able to see the image both sides of the screen .. :)

a fiducial aid might be a fiducial marker which helps to mark the centre of an oscillation .. i remember my teacher telling me something about this lat year .. im not sure tho ..:(
