My dad is pretty successful in business. Yet, when I ask him, he says me its Allah who gives everything ultimately. And that Satan causes himself to be too proud after a huge financial success, for which many financial failures follow. Once you lose connection with achievement (which is due to Satan), according to him, you will fail.

I did well in my O levels and other exams. I got many prizes, medals, and crests. Not a single time do I remember praying to Satan, instead of Allah.

I studied the Quran pretty well (the meaning). Not a single time do I remember it said Satan may help in worldly matters (let alone the hereafter!).

It all depends on what you WANT. Some people just want the hereafter, like the religious priests. They will not get much in this world, because they FOCUS on the hereafter. If you really WANT money, power and success (which is MUCH better than wanting success in hereafter or something else), and ask God for help with faith, he will certainly. My dad's words and experience is the strongest proof of this.

So, whether Allah helps you on worldly matters depends on what you really WANT and believe.

Why do you blame him?

Isn't it in Human nature that when you succeed You become proud of Yourself.?

I also did well in My IGCSE exams and all i did was hard work and that is pretty much it.

 I love God. I've been worshipping God since childhood and still am. His names include goodness, love, and compassion  - and nothing is more important than goodness, love, and compassion. I know His Heart is in the right place - and that's great. But I think we could all benefit from an action plan from time to time.  

Satan, of course, is Pure Evil. I hate His whole agenda. But let's face it: He gets the job done. In fact, he's an over-achiever. He can successfully manipulate a population of 6 billion to hell..Think about it

Don't you realize that it is the Satan HIMSELF who breeds thoughts in your mind which CAUSES you to be excessively proud of yourself after a success? If you look into many financial failures, you will see that the person concerned had become too proud of himself and wary after a financial success, and due to this, had become heedless and careless, for which he loses money.

Where did you read Satan causes you to be proud of yourself. Are You implying all the bad things a man does is caused by lucifer.?

It is a fact mentioned in the Quran that Satan causes you to possess such bad thoughts in your mind. I'm sure you're a muslim, so I do not need to mention proofs of the validity of the Quran.

God helps people, he is compassionate, ever helpful and ever merciful. He may help you even if you did not pray to him. But praying establishes a direct link, which increases your chances of success in anything. People like you make the mistake by assuming that God only helps in the hereafter. You people are dead wrong. He helps me much in my everyday life for achieving success in anything.

I will give you my example.

I strive for financial success and have many business connections. I pray 4-5 times a day to God for financial success and other materialistic successes. At the same time, I do give some charity and fast and follow other rules of Islam too. But at the same time, I have trained myself to be able to do anything for financial success. I'm prepared to do something which is considered to be unethical, for success in anything, given it balances the risk:reward ratio. Success is the main priority in anything. I am not honest, neither would like to be. BUT and a BIG BUT, this does NOT mean that I pray to Satan or am a slave to Satan for success. I'm a slave of God, and at the same time, want success. Thats all.

So, not being honest does not mean that you are the slave of Satan. You can be the slave of God, and at the same time, not be much honest. ;)
