IB Requirements

I am an IGCSE student and im going to start the IB course next year, however, i noticed that to do a specific subject for example English A1 HL my school told me i need to get a B+ in my IG.

Is it true? Do you need a specific grade in the IG's to start an IB course?

Please tell me cause if i cant do First language english then im forced to do Spanish which is horrible....

well its essential to take eng literature if u wana do eng HL since it makes u understand the essay formats and all however its not like  need certain grade to do ib u need 5 passes thats all yes definatly its always good to have good grade in sunbject which u're planning on to take as HL

I was told that i gotta choose 3 HL and 3 SL

I wanted to choose.

Business, Economics, English A1 - High
Chemistry or physics, Spanish and Math (not studies) - Standard

By the way you are starting the IB or your in the last year?

yea u have to have 3 hl n 3 sl
however u can  take language as AB too
yet u have to have 3 hl

NO this is my 1st year i started on oct.

I start IB in Feb 2010. We start at different times cause of the difference between the North/South hemisphere. Its almost summer here :D and i dont plan on studying during that time XD

By the way- u dont have to do Eng lit for A1 English...

I didn't do lit and am fine with the subject- although doin lit is helpful :)

No i didnt said u HAVE TO do it i said if u're planning to do hL its good since u know how to write essays n u have  idea wht to do.
well i did eng SL n lit.FL so it helped me since SL is not that hard while lit.u have to write essays like 500 words etc
