Slvri, Aadi is right... 500 km/h is the velocity of the plane relative to the wind. When you are looking for the time taken, you use the RELATIVE/RESULTANT velocity... Which must be parallel to the line AB here...
True velocity of the plane in still air is not the same as the velocity with which it is actually moving when the force of the wind is acting on it.
