maths graph doubt

while plotting points on a graph, do u mark a point with a cross or a dot and circle the dot????

guys i saw smthng abt this in either the examiner tips or somewhere...it was clearly specified which one to use...but m not able to find where it was written...do u guys have any idea  bout that??

You can use either of these. When You put a dot, you must circle it to make it clearly visible

Here you are:

1) Cross

Advantage: Examiners can determine CLEARLY where your point is, and whether you can plot accurately. Especially for points like 3.6, 2.8...

Risk Analysis: The cross can be too small, and escape notice. You have to make it big enough. With a sharp pencil.


2) Dot


Advantage:The dot, if encircled is clearly noticeable.

Risk Analysis: Where is your dot exactly??  ;)


Personally, I prefer the cross. It's 'safer'...  :)
