Plz help to solve Q no.17(b) Jun. 09 I know the answer from mark scheme but I don't know why. thanks

actually, u can do it without using all those lines and protractor...its just 900

but for ur understanding...i drew the lines too..

yea...jus join all de pointz to (4,4), measure 90degrees, measur de distance, nd plot de points ...don! :)

n(AUB)= n(A) + n(B) - n(AnB)

here n(AUB) = 29

n(A) = 18

n(B) = 11

therefore n(AnB) = 0

so they both are distinc sets

no intersection

refer to the markscheme for the diagram

ans for a is in the image below:

as they have told (A U B)' = 0 so the one in box will be 0

as they have told B is completley belonging to A that is A is the universal set for B and n(B) = 11 and n(A) = 18

so n(B)' = 18-11
           =  7
