IB Group 2: Second Language
« on: January 05, 2009, 08:42:47 pm »
I fluently speak farsi and i'm a Junior at an IBO school in the US. I was wondering whether i could take an IB ab initio test for farsi that would satisfy the requirements of the group 2 so I can receive the Diploma. My school only offers courses in Spanish, French, and Latin, but can I take the test somewhere else? I asked my IB coordinator at school and she told me that that's not possible but based on some research (for example. farsi [persian] is offered as a language A1/A2), i personally think thats a load of crap......Any help? Has anyone taken an IB ab initio test for a second language that was not offered (as a course) at their school?

Also, by any chance, does any one know whether there is an AP Farsi test/course? (AP = Advanced Placement)

Thanks in advance ! ;D
