actually its not exactly a hug, its like i the hands are locked and then you brace one of their sides to one of yours
thats for the guys, girls depending on how close we are i either hug (like proper hug but not a bear hug) or shake hands, unless its some mutawi girl then i just smile  8)
family i hug my aunts and uncles, cousins if they're male i do just like with my friends if its gals then i either shake hands or just smile (but definitely not a hug)  ;D

I hug and kiss my whole family. Apart from my guy cousins who I have no pysical contact with what so ever ;D
I hug ALL my friends
I Hug and kiss only my close friends.
I do the "polite side kisses" when I meet guests and stuff- and don't hug them.

so yeah- that's it really! :D
