what is credit transfer??
« on: June 22, 2009, 04:34:02 pm »
can any tell me what do we mean by credit transfer? and how does it relate to our A and AS level subjects?
one more question to ask that, how much importance does AS level subject matters in terms of universities admissions in united states or united kingdom provided that one is an international student?

Thanks

I have just phoned around some universities.

They say they class IGCSEs and english GCSEs as equivalent and you must have UCAS points suffcient to qualify you for the course,  plus many require IELTS.

A part completed A llevel will mean you have some UCAS points.

I think an interview and application form count for at least as much. They are despaerate for money and foreign students pay more than UK students, so they need a damn good reason to turn you away if you are a foreign student.

Hmm... What if I'm taking A Level (Math, Further Math, Physics and Economics) and planning to do Actuarial Science in the US? But I'll be doing a double degree in Math and Econs first. Any advice, Mr. Paul? >_<

Oh... but I think education + cost of living in London's just preposterous! So expensive >_<
