guys iam taking IGCSE accounting Extended ,today i accedently missed paper1 ,its supposedly 0 weighted but its said to be compulsory would this effect my grade???

but abt the grades it might effect them i mean the weight has to be like 20% or something so i think it might matter  :)

ummm..
ill tell u somehting waay astonishing
3 students in my school didnt appeared in Chem exam  :o
2 forgot while ones car braked down
so, oe of the three called are cordinator she called CIE n CIE said that they would prepare another exam next week for her
call ur Cordinator ( if u r appearing from school)

this is the Quote from 2009 syllabus

* The grades of Extended Curriculum candidates will initially be calculated on the basis of their
combined marks for Papers 2 and 3. However, candidates who do not obtain a Grade C or
above on this basis will then have their Paper 3 mark disregarded and their grade calculated on
the basis of Paper 1 and Paper 2 as if they were Core Curriculum candidates.

I think u can repeat it just ask your school!! if they dont accept,u can call the CIE and explain ur problem!! I think they would totally understand ur situation ;)

CIE does not make another ppr for just one student....thts crazy....

They dont do that but my friend was in the same situation...she talked to the school to repeat the exam but refused so she went to the british council (CIE) and explained and so they gave permission to the school to repeat it!!

Accounting Paper 1 has 0% weightage - so unless you really really sucked up your paper 2 and paper 3, dont worry about it!!

they dont do a seperate paper but they let u do it again .... cause my cousin is in A levels and hes doing some O level sub ( math and IT ) so he forgot he had an IT practical paper 2 ... so he went to his school and asked when it was and it turns out he missed it .... and they let him do it again .....

so jst tell ur school :P

OMG ..you know what happened to me ??
I thought my multiple choice chem IG was PM ..it turned out to be AM..so i was sleeping my school called and they asked me whether i was going to sit the exam or not . :O
i was like oh my god!! i was literally crying as i got dressed and didnt eat anything before i left the house.
i rushed to school..i was there in 2 minutes and they had already started the exam
i was 15 minutes late to the exam.
so i had like half an hour to do it. :S
you cant imagin how scared and irresponsible i felt after that,,
it was the worst exam ending EVER
but..thank god. I finished the exam on time and i had time to check..and thank god it wasnt that hard either.
but it was a HUGE lesson for me to learn from.
It still feels like i missed it.
