Was the answer "fats" or "Water" in biology paper 1 ?

Also the question of the arrows was tricky ..

i think it was fats cuz fats cnnot be found in plants!

Green plants can make all the materials(including fats and sucrose)using water,carbon dioxide and salts. They r synthesized from sugar molecules and other molecules produced in photosynthesis.

Glucose and amino acids are transported in solution(water). Fats are synthesized for cell membrane and for storing in seeds.


SO THEY LACK FATS

for sum reason.. I chose water... cuz a phloem tube transports amino acids and sucrose, and the aphid only fed on phloem tubes.... and why would a Aphid even need fats?

The question was what do aphids LACK in their diet. Thats fats, because the phloem doesnt transport fats.

What was the answer for the arrows question in which they asked about the energy flows?

was it D or whichever one that was from decomposers to plants?

i did water...i don't think they lack fats they don't really need it.....so i think it is water.

the aphids question definitely lacked FATS.. cuz the question asks: which type of food did the aphids lack and water isnt a type of food but fats are.

for the water arrow question, the answer was the one at the stomata bec water never enter the plant thru stomata, instead it only enters thru the roots.
