About the corn question, I dont know why it isn't D... It said that purple mated with yellow, and for it to be yellow it must be pp! And because some of the "offspring" is also yellow, the purple must be heterozygous. So I think the answer is Pp X pp, answer D.

What do you mean by "but the Pp and pp produced mostly yellow"? Pp and pp will produce half yellow and half purple.
And the question didnt say anything about purple mating with yellow. It just said purple is dominant over yellow.
