i know even i don't wanna lose 3 marks it can get me from an A to a B to a C!!!!!!!!!!!!!AAAAH
After all is said and done, more is said than done.

NO...GUYS DONT WORRY

THE BEST THING IS THAT CIE WANTS ALMOST ALL CANDIDATES TO GET good results!!!

they check the best and the worst performance from all centres and then decide the threshold!!!!

no matter how hard or easy the paper

it all depends on our performance

and as u know the majority WINS!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) ;) ;) ;) :D

really!!!!!!!!!!!!

i know wat wr u thinkn but i dont think that is available in the laboratory and how come a technician has a GM COUNTER AND THE SOURCE

LOL FUNNY ANS AND IT IS NOT EVEN ACCURATE!!!

guys... it was so frkin simple
half the speed means half the mass

fraction was
1/8

My fraction was 1/8 too. The people who are saying that the Air Goes Slower When Its Heavier are just trying to think too smartly. I tried that in my math exam, and now its a guaranteed mark loss.
I wrote the diode as A. A IS CORRECT. I dont know how ppl got C and D.

hey guyss
to find the mass in the turbine question, i just used cross multiplication....they had given the mass in the question when the speed was12m/s so therefore:
12m/s     7500kg
6m/s         x

ihope this is right...
for the graph question (where u had to show the variation of CURRENT, what did u guys draw??? cuz in my notes the graph for OUTPUT VOLTAGE was only given,,,not CURRENT       ???
for the diode i chose B :(
for the milk question, I said that the kinetic energy ofthe milk molecules won't increase enough to allow any molecules to escape as gas, so  the coldness od the dampl cloth would prevent the K.E from increasing, thereby keeping the milk bottle cool......I had no other way of explaining in terms of the molecules

I chose Aluminium instead of Steel, because, if you noticed, the expansitivity of concrete and steel were the same, so if u chose steel, when you embed it in the concrete, it won't be able to expan/stretch anymore than the concrete, thereby less strength.....

For the direction of the resultant force, I wrote Right.... :( and for the part where we had 2 mention somethin thts a vector and is not a force, I wrote velocity...

For the first question, I wrote micrometer first, but then since I didn't know how it worked, I wrote a metre rule instead and then explained that first record the measurement with the rule, using a set square (for greater accuracy)for n number of palstic sheets (10 for example) and then divide by 10 to get the thickness for one palstic sheet...

I got 42 for critical angle and for the angle of refraction, I don't know what on earth u guys are talking about dividing by 1 :( ; our teacher never told us any such thing about the reversibility of light :( :( :( Im sad and in my class Im the best one in Physics :( and everyone said the paper was horrible, thanks to our Physics 'teacher' >:(  Can you imagine doing Electricity (LEDs, LDRs, thermistors, capacitors, transistors, FRHR, FLHR, effect of current, a.c motor, d.c motor, Logic gates, potential divide, variable resistors) in 3 lessons only, with our Physics 'teacher' NOT knowing the use to transistors in an LDR+pd circuit and her constant blabbering tht she needz to revise her Electricity facts and then explain to us!!! Dude! ur the teacher and we pay u to KNOW ur facts already nd then explain 2 us! >:(  :'( :'( :'(

Back to the questions....whatelse...mmmm ohhh yaaaa for the last last question, I said field is perpendicularly out of page and i have a feeling tht it is WRONG
 :'(

I really want 2 get A* :-[ :'( :( Inshallah

FIELD CANNOT BE IN OR OUT OF THE PAGE IT CAN BE UP OR DOWN!!!!

AND I THINK WE HAV THE SAME TEACHER!!!!!!!LOL

CUZ OUR TEACHER DIDNT EVEN DO ALL THIS STUFF!!!

THEY R NOTORIOUSLY ILLEGIBLE......

When they say "state" something... does it mean we write the value or for example say..

More than 47N?

JUst wondering?

Bani,

I chose Aluminum as well because the metal with higher expansion is placed under the metal to reinforce it. For resultant force I wrote North-east HAHA...
I got C for diode... No idea how.. and I even forgot to tick the correct answers in the last page even though I knew them. I'm pretty sure that I screwed up on some questions.

I only slept four hours before the exam, I couldn't concentrate well.. As a matter of fact my brains were so spoiled that I couldn't calculate the speed of light in the medium, nor Critical angle.

Whenever there was a question with "State" ... I wrote for example... More than 47N LOL!

I really wanted an A* in physics, but I don't think that it's obtainable anymore.. because you'd need at least 90%, but you never know! the system this year changed a loooooot... thus an A*'s percentage has probably changed  ::)

Oh well, A* & A has the same credit when you apply to Universities :P
