If theres a far away  moving object, and u suddenly want to focus on it to see it clearly, what happens to ur eye to make u see the moving object clearly?

I remember this type of Q comin in PP lol...
anywayz..

The ciliary muscles Relax and move outwards and the suspensory ligaments become pulled making the lens thinner n the image is formed on retina...

I knw it might be confusin because it was for me too..actually the Main is thing is not that the object is moving..the main is that its far  :)

i got a que
um on a hot day, is there more urea formed?

no on a clod day more urea is formed i dont know how or why but i know that much that on a cold day it is more probably something to do with shivering
hope that helps
Yea lol..but actually i guess u mixed up the two features of Homeostasis...
Shivering is to do with Temperature regulation and quantity of urea is with water regulation..
can u then explain the difference between both
Thanks

Temperature regulation:
In hot environment wen the body temp. rises abv normal the blood vesseles under the surface of skin dilate(vasodilation) which results in more blood flowing  to the skin surface n greater heat loss..The sweat production also increases...the evapouration of sweat results in lowering the temperature of body

wen the temp. falls below normal the blood vessels constrict (vasoconstriction) which results in less blood flowing to the skin surface n less heat loss..also shivering occurs which generates Heat

Water regulation:
In hot days as water is also lost frm sweating the urea production is less n concentrated
In cold days its more n in a dilute form

Hope it helps  ;D

If theres a far away  moving object, and u suddenly want to focus on it to see it clearly, what happens to ur eye to make u see the moving object clearly?
The cilliary muscle relax, giving them a larger diameter. This pulls on the suspensory legaments which in turn pull on the lense. This makes the lense thinner. As the cilliary muscles are relaxed there is no strain on the eye.

k first of all dont panic :D its just an exam so what lol

u have 2 choices, either go thru the syllabus quickly. Or just do past papers.

its ur choice ^^

if i was u i'd do past paper, cus cramming information from syllabus doesnt usually work

(how many hours till ur exam? if u have alot of time go thru the syllabus .. better ^^ )

all that is mentioned in my textbook is :

EXTERNAL intercostal muscles contract to lift the ribcage up

EXTERNAL intercostal muscles relax so the ribcage goes back, if ur breathing hard the INTERNAL intercostal muscles contract to move the ribcage further back

Umm..i dnt knw the exact difference..u can say they r like the antagonistic ones..Wen one contracts the other relaxes..
They are the part of Breathing system..n situated near the rib cage
Wen u breathe in the External intercostal muscle contracts and the internal intercoastal muscles relax...the ribs are pulled upwards and outwards and the diaphragm contracts and flattens..these movements makes the volue inside thorax increase which decreases the pressure inside it..therefore the air rushes inside the throax frm High pressure(outside) to low pressure(inside thorax)

Hope it helps

both intercostal muscles are attached to the ribs, they are antagonistic. when the external intercostal muscles contract, they move the rib cage upwards & outwards, & the diaphragm muscles contract increasing the volume of the thorax.
the opposite happens when we breath ou, during a forced exhalation the internal intercostal muscles contract & the diaphragm muscles relax, decreasing the volume of the thorax.
