--- Quote from: highly_ambitious on June 02, 2009, 03:12:05 pm ---it's my second year of a levels. But i'm still confused about my combination of subjects. I have taken Physics, chemistry, maths, general studies[AS], computing[AS] and economics too. Looking at my stubjects most of my friends say that I have taken a huge load of heavy subjects as I want to study software engg. at higher level. Taking economics has proved a lot of burden on me. I have been doing well with other subjects. I have already completed by economics - AS. I studied economics not as part of my higher studies but just to know about the market n all. Having said that frenz can you please suggest me some tips whether or not I shoud decide to drop economics or continue with the same combination.
Plzzzzzzzzz help me . any kind of help would be highly appreciated!!!!!!!

Software engineering? Drop Chemistry. Immediately.

I think you should drop general studies because it doesn't count at all. Oxbridge and others don't even take them into consideration. I think you should keep Physics, Chemistry, maths and do full computing instead of just AS. I don't recommend you to drop Economics as it will reflect your real intellect at the university you will be applying to. Instead try taking AS Economics only.
