apparently there's a new chief examiner from jan 09 and he's made the papers a lot harder-but also the grade boundaries are a lot lower so I guess it balances out-so even if you think you didn't do so great you might still get an okay grade cause of the boundaries  :)

Are you talking about the thrust question in M2 or M1???

I did M2....and i thot it was pretty easy  :)
cuz for the hard questions..they gave the answers (i.e. show that the answer = ..blah blah) so u wud know whether u were right or wrong  ;D
Some questions were tricky...like the rod question with CD thrust...but it was a good paper overall  ;)

yeah for the trust question...this is wat i did.......since it said tht 0.5m was horizontal (frm cd to a) and 0.5m was vertical....that meant the angle CDA was 450 so i did (T for Thrust)....Tsin45 x 0.5 = 3g x .75  and then solved for T....not sure whether it was right  :-\

LooL ya the centre of mass was sooo cool...i mean i was freakin out that they might give sum wierd shape that ive never even seen b4 in my life...and they ended up givin a rectange with a triangle...LoL how easy cud that get !  ;)
