i think that you should add the angle PQN to the angle MRS. so, that is 85°+85°=170°

i extended both the lines behind the image and calculated the angle where they meet..

i got 160
i guess ur way is correct

do u have the markscheme??

I have a question..
If they ask you to draw a DC motor??? HOW?? My book doesnt have it..
and and AC MOTOR? what id they ask us that..its realy comlicated..what with the split ring commutators and all. HELP EEK!

ppl i remember its smthng related to math its an angles rule but i dont really remember it 1 whole year nt taking math  :-\

but unfortunately my scanner is not functioning
if u use tom duncan physics
chk out pg 221

well i can provide u with the text though
heres it
a simple dc motor consists of a rectangular coil of wire mounted on an axle which can rotate between the poles of a C-shaped magnet, each end of the coil is connected to half of a split ring of copper, called a commutator.
which rotates with the coil
two carbon blocks the brushes are perssed lightly against the sommutatoor by springs. the brushes are connected to an electric supply.
