Exactly - originally, Sri Lanka, Pakistan - all were a part of India!

We are not willing to part with out personal belongings, this is a whole country we're talking about people! a WHOLE country dividing into parts? And now u say Kashmir too? Why? Do you want to increase your country's geographical area? Become stronger?

In 1947 the people wanted union with Pakistan but the people were overwhelmingly muslim. there was a war and India got most of kashmir. There have been I think 2 wars since and now there is stalemate.

Times and things have changed now! The few people I know want India!

Personally, I feel it is KASHMIR which should decide.

Ethically, however, we Indians have a right!

Did u know that the victims of ethnic cleansing in Kashmir were Hindus? Ok, it is a muslim majority state, but that does not automatically mean that it should be a part of Pakistan. India has the third largest population of Muslims in the world.

It is not any more a questin of strength. We are all individuasls. I am a citizen of the world.

I am lucky to have a british passport but frankly my country is planet earth and if I were ruled from mARS i WOULD HAVE TO FIGHT THE MARTIANS.

There are victims of every sort but it is very dificult for the local police and government to be impartial.

Obe day India will save us all from china but a solution must be found to this that is just to all and agreed because it is just and not because one side is stronger.

Everyone can agree with the injustice in palestine. In kashmir there is injustice too.

Last time I checked there was no clear majority in favour of anything in kashmir. Everyone must tread carefully.

Yes, there is more injustice than justice in this world!

It is however, not entirely possible to make a decision without considering strength!

A stronger and more deserving ally has always been India! India is also economically balanced!! It has the required sources, finance, and stability to handle an extra country!

Pakistan has troubling managing itself, and the future doesnt look too bright either :S

And ghostt - like I said, Kashmir itself is divided and cannot decide? What about those of you who do not want to hold a pakistani nationality?

And to be frank, i do not think any one in mental stability should consider joining Pakistan, for all the reasons cited above and more...

Banglasdesh was originally part of pakistan, ruled from pakistan like a provine. In 1971/72 I think there was a civil war in which Bangladesh became independent. India intervened and this increased the bitterness.
