In Saudi Arabia, they wanted to show the approximate height of Adam (A.S.) by making a garment in his size. This was the idea of Hamdan, with the help of 4 taylors. It took 18 days and 4m rolls of cloth were needed. The length of the garment is 29 metres, 9 metres between the shoulders, 12 metres width of bottom, 10 metres the length of the sleeves and 2 metres width of the neck.
Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (R.A.):
the Prophet (S.A.W.) said, "Allah created adam in His image sixty cubits (about 30 metres) in height. When He created him, He siad to him, Go greet the group of angels sitting there, and listen (to) what they will say in reply to you, for that will be your greeting and the greeting of your offspring. Adam (went and) said As-salam alaykum (peace be on you). They replied, As-salam alaykum wa rahmatullah (peace and Allah's mercy be on you). So they increased it to Wa Rahmatullaah."
The prophet (S.A.W.) then added "so whoever will enter paradise, will be the shape and picture of adam".
since then, the creation of Adam's (A.S.) offspring (i.e. The stature of human beings) has been diminished continuosly up till the present time.
