Studying medicine
« on: October 25, 2011, 05:38:04 pm »
Hello everyone...

I want some help here,I'm thinking of studying medicine,and I want to study at a good place,but without getting my dad bankrupt through,I don't really mind having to learn another language to study it,and I the country I'm studying in isn't a problem either,as long as its outside the Middle East.

Thanks,
Hush

- Try Japan - Tohoku University => Its respectable and the Medicine course is in English
Send them an e-mail and they will surely respond back.

- UK has best education for Medicine but its VERY competitive.

- Germany - competitive. They require 100% marks. Not even 99%. =/

Japan is a good choice,but its around quarter million SAR\Dirhams per year,which isn't what I want  ::)

UK is good,but the living and fees are quite expensive as well xD

I'm currently looking at a few countries in Europe,and Canada as well.

Thanks for the help though :)

OMG. Really ? I don't think so. I converted the Dentistry (which has the same fee as Medicine) and it was very much affordable.

I know - UK is a money ripper when it comes to living costs and stuff.

Most welcome. Lemme know if you need extra help. (:

I suggest - keep searching and yeah ... read my PM. ;)

Yeah,I just checked it out,it was around 242,000 riyals to be precise :o

Exactly =,="

Sure,I'll always do that ;)

I'm searching,I found some full-funded scholarships in Canada for medicine,but you have to work in a town there for 5 years or so,its worth it,you'll get the nationality and all,but I lost the link where I found that,it was more than a week ago ;(

Thats quite affordable? :P

Its a good chance to change your atmosphere and all,but 5 years is too much as well,especially after 7 years of studying.

I have many places in my head for my internship - which will be after 5 years. ;) Germany is on the bottom list. :P

The medicine in my uni is for 7 years - 6 years of studying + 1 year internship.

The professors are all good, alhamdulillah.

The fee for one whole year is 95,000 dirhams. ;)

Try New Zealand Auckland University ;)
It's cheaper than UK and recognized

If your marks are very high I mean like 98-100% you could try NUS

Russia is a good option to study medicine. They have about 50 med colleges and offer courses in general and sports medicine together with dentistry. The per-month living cost is quite reasonable too. How about Australia? They have good med colleges.

Russia is good financially but not really recognised all over the world!

Australia is first class, i.e if you can afford the fee :P
