I cant really give you the best advice but I am gonna try.
I totally understand how you feel cause I have been there. I felt exactly like you. I am gonna relate it to myself and try to give an answer.
First of all, think about what you like doing. I assume your parents aren't choosing for you or else you would have known your major already.
Okay so, For me I am a science person so i knew that I'll only go for something science related. Here, everything business related gets excluded.
Now the first few majors that come to the mind are medicine or eng. , I like chemistry more than physics so eng. wasnt an option for me.
After this, i thought about the science careers which are always in demand. I am sure while choosing career we are supposed to look for factors like salary, how in demand it is, what is the job like.
Once you have chosen an area you should also look for such things, see if eng. will provide you with the job you want to do. How is the work like, does it suit you? Are you okay with the salary?
With time, i am sure you will be able to come to a conclusion.
Don't stress about it, i remember sometimes I used to get so stressed out and depressed while i was on the internet searching for such things.
Also, dont think too much about future. I mean, think about now, what do you want to do now, forget about 20 years later. Like you said that "do I want to spend the REST of MY Life having a job that is ALL about Physics?", dont worry about it now. I know i might sound a bit stupid but really you dont need to worry about what is going to happen after 10 years. You can always change your mind.
There are people who start with something and then opt for something else later. I remember watching a video about a woman who did her major in bio, i guess, and then she didnt like the job she was doing so she decided to do medicine then.
I hope i was able to help.
