This is the official thread for the UKCAT test held every summer.

Make sure to read all the information provided as it really is useful

Candidates who wish to apply for medicine/pharmacy and other related courses should take this test.

Note: UKCAT results are only valid for applications to universities in the year in which the test is taken. If your application to medical school is not successful and you re-apply the following year, you will be required to re-sit the UKCAT.

Check your specific university for requirements as some might require the BMAT test.

Key dates for 2011
Registration deadline: 23 September 2011
Bursary application deadline: 23 September 2011
Exemption application deadline: 23 September 2011
Last testing date: 7 October 2011
UCAS application deadline: 15 October 2011

Has anyone been on the Blackstone tutors BMAT course (http://www.blackstonetutors.co.uk/special-assessments-bmat-ukcat-lnat.html ).

A few of my freiends in older years had reccommended it - was wondering if anyone else had any experiences of the coure

Went on the ukcat course and was very impressed (focus was exam technique - rather than memorising random crap) - booked the bmat course as well - fingers crossed, should be good
