Hey all,
Well here is my full situation. I had completed my Upper Secondary and applied to University in Austria and also tried in Canada (not officially in Canada, but via a known Professor there). The Austria University International Advisor said that my Maths Marks are not best and I require to prove that I have good command in Advance Maths; as the degree I want to apply is more of applied sort and German Language. So I researched and asked lots of peoples on how which exam to give. Majority told me to sit for further Maths A Level as it will be accepted almost everywhere. So I sat and passed CIE Further Maths with grade B. And as the German requirement was to take some time to fullfill I decided to study the full GCE A Level. So in this session I sat for Maths and Physics. I dunno what happened but I did truly horribly. I tried to contact Edexcel regarding rechecks but have yet to get reply and from what I have heard recheck cost almost the same amount bucks as a re-sit does. So I think I should Resits. Now here lays the problems and confusions; Here is my Maths score :
6663 CORE MATHEMATICS 1 53 / 100
6664 CORE MATHEMATICS 2 44 / 100
6665 CORE MATHEMATICS 3 29 / 100
6666 CORE MATHEMATICS 4 20 / 100
6689 DECISION MATHEMATICS 1 21 / 100
6690 DECISION MATHEMATICS 2 36 / 100
Now my question is that for complete A Level you require to complete the UMS of 6 subjects to be 240-299 in total to score E. Now with my scores which unit should I attempt and is there perhaps any model answers or something like it? I dunno why I scored this less in Maths and Physics when I was very sure that I had score good atleast 75% in Physics except Physics 4 and all maths except C4 and D2.
Please Help me I am very confused as from my location hardly anyone attemps GCE and those who do sit only for AS Level Maths and other subjects like Economics, English, ICT etc.
Thanx in advance
P.S. Is writing paper in Crusive Script prohibited? Since I wrote the paper in that.
P.S.S I am also enrolled in Uni here. but want to study the applied one.
