WARNING: SPOILERSFinished Code Geass too.
Too bad someone had to die
Though I still like Death Note the best of the three. Elfen Lied could've been awesome but it was too short to amount to much--and it was kind of stupid in some places. Code Geass was great up till the start of the second season, but then in trying to give the whole show a unique conclusion, it became a mess. I know they were trying to bring Lelouch to a point where he was awfully notorious--so he could recreate the world--but in doing that they just crushed any ideals
anyone had. Whether you were on Suzaku's side or Lelouch's side, I felt all my emotions were lost in the humdrum as the second season progressed and then I couldn't feel like I belonged to either character. I don't mind them becoming friends again, that was awesome, but there was no longer a feeling that this show was working on human psyche or just anything. Unlike Death Note where I could, till the end, know the inevitable since Light had won me from the start, and yet be horrified because of the suspense--here, it was so flurry in the end that I just wanted it to be over than anything else.
That's my opinion anyhow, since regardless Death Note got a little slow in the end if not confusing.
I'm reading Elfen Lied's manga now, since the lack of substance in the anime itself is irritating! I got this manga reader on my computer and android, so I can read it anywhere
As for new animes...I'm taking a break so I can finish House MD. Then I'll resume and download something from the list you gave me.
