Shawarma RecipeMy recipe!
*Ingredients:
-Yogurt
-Chtroo (I dunno if you know what it is so I am showing an image of it)
-Chicken (boneless)
-Thin bread
-Pickles
-French fries
-Salt and Pepper
-2 small piece of garlic
-Lettuce/Cabbage
*Method
~Making paste/cream:
Take a bowl and add 3/4 handful spoons of yogurt and the chtroo. Add quarter/half glass water and mix thoroughly. Grind the 2 small pieces of garlic and add into the bowl.
Add salt and pepper (3/4 pinches)
~Cut the cabbage and lettuce (whichever preferred) into small pieces and add into a bowl.
~Chicken must be boiled
The boiled chicken can be fried in low deep pan for 5-10 mins. DO NOT EXCEED 10 mins.
~French fries:
Simply fry them. Home made ones- peel potatoes, cut them into small pieces, wash them properly & then fry them.
~The bread (usually oval in shape)
Cut it into half and apply the paste.
Add the lettuce/cabbage filling up the space in the bread (make sure that you do not put in excess as it might overflow/ the shawarma will not close
Put the pickles (around 3/4 pieces)
Put the fries too (6/7 pieces)
Put the chicken pieces (depending on the size of the bread)
You can also add other stuff which you prefer (eg: tomato/cucumber)
*Close the bread properly making sure that it's intact
*Take a flat pan and heat it gently. Put the shawarma on it and press it till both sides are crispy-ish.
(^You can apply VERY little oil on the pan- I usually add olive oil.)
*Buy a PEPSI and enjoy your shawarma!
