does power corrupt

the question is what the topic says !!!

guys what r ur views on the phrase
'power corrupts a person'

hope to have a balanced debate :P :D

will write in detail later  but 4 now i think power doesnt corrupt !

it doesnt corrupt if you know how to use it, but it does if you donno how to use it or your'nt  realizing even that you are having it!

In the line of politics: Yes, it generally corrupts. eg: Asif Ali Zardari.

In the line of business/others: No.

It does corrode. And ironically, it corrodes in such a way that the owner does not even realize it until he has nothing left. ;)

Reason? Diversion from their main goal and focusing on 'other' stuffs.

eg. Roman empire, british empire, Soviet union, Nazi, Babar, Akbar, Mughal etc.

None of them exist now.

The way American focus is diverting from what was its founding father's - seems like its next on the row.
