Try these..

Q. You are given two candles of equal size, which can burn 1 hour each. You have to measure 90 minutes with these candles. (There is no scale or clock). Also u r given a lighter.
 Logical answer only!  :P

When 1 candle burns completely = 1 hr ie 60 mins will be completed

left is 30 mins ie half of an hour

So let the next candle burn until it is half - completeling the next 30 mins

I hope it doesn't sound stupid  :P

First light both of them and when both are burned half,turn one of them off. And when the first one is burned completely for 1 hour, burn the left half .

This tempted me.  :P

Light one candle wholly => 60 mins

Light the second candle from both ends. Simple mathematics. ;)

Now, you have to measure 45 minutes with these candles.

But how can a candle have both ends? You'll have to cut a little bit of wax from the other end to get the wick. ::)

Ah, I think we are not measuring some kind of nuclear reaction here :P . So, 1-2 mins of error wouldn't matter! ::) :D

Umm... I don;t think so.. :-\ The candles here have a base, which is flat and the wick is not visible from outside. Maybe its different in other places too.
