Acceleration
« on: February 08, 2011, 03:16:52 pm »
A car is traveling with uniform acceleration along a road. The road has marker posts every 100 m. When the car passes one post, it has a speed of 10 ms-1 and, when it passes the next one, its speed is 20 ms-1. What is the car's acceleration?

This is M1?
Anyways..here i am solving ur problem again...

s= Distance       100m
u= Initial speed  10m/s
v= Final speed    20m/s
a= acceleration   ?

v^2= u^2 + 2as
making a as the subject
u'll get : (v^2 - u^2)/2s

a= 1.5m/s^2
