Sad story
« Reply #60 on: January 20, 2011, 11:32:07 am »
Here is a story dedicated to all those children who hardly get time to talk to their father!

One day a boy was sitting on the couch waiting for his father to come home. When he arrived he asked him, "Dad how much do you earn in a hour"? the father got angry at such a question from his son. He asked angrily why did you ask that the son stayed calm and again asked the same question so the father replied $100 a hour. So than the son asked for $50 from him and his father got furious at this and scolded his son a lot. So the boy went in his room and shut the door. After sometime his father was calm and thought that his behavior towards his son was harsh and so he went on to apologize. He opened the door of the boy's bedroom and asked he was asleep and the boy replied no. The father said here are your $50 have them. The boy took them appily and took out the other $50 he had under his pillow. On seeing this again his father was raged with anger he asked his boy that when he already had money why did he ask for more. The boy very politely gave those $100 to his father and said,"Dad here are $100 now can i get a hour from your day?, can you come an hour early tomorrow so we can have dinner together?" His dad was speechless and hugged him. :) <3

Let me know what you think about this :)

Quite all right. ;)

Here's another one.

Six year old boy decided one morning to make pancake for his parents. He found a big bowl and spoon; He pulled a chair to the counter, opened the cupboard and pulled out the heavy flour canister, spilling it on the floor.

He scooped some of the flour into the bowl with his hands, mixed in most of a cup of milk and added some sugar, leaving a floury trail on the floor which by now had a few tracks left by his kitten. He was covered with flour and getting frustrated.

He wanted this to be something very good for his parents, but it was getting very bad. He didn't know what to do next, whether to put it all into the oven or on the stove, (and he didn't know how the stove works!).

Suddenly he saw his kitten licking from the bowl of mix and reached to push her away, knocking the egg carton to the floor. Frantically he tried to clean up all mess but slipped on the eggs, getting his pajamas white and sticky.

And just then he saw Dad standing at the door. Big tears came in the boys eyes. All he did wanted to do was something good, but he did made a terrible mess. He was sure a scolding was coming, maybe even a spanking. But his father just watched him. Then, walking through the mess, he picked up his crying son, hugged him and loved him.

Moral of Story: That's how Allah (SWT) deals with us.

We try to do something good in life, but it turns into a mess. Our marriage gets all sticky or we insult a friend or we can't stand our job or our health goes sour.

Sometimes we just stand there in tears because we can't think of anything else to do. That's when Allah (SWT) picks us up and loves us and forgives us.

But just because we might mess up, we can't stop trying to "make pancakes" Sooner or later we will get it right, and then they will be glad to see that we atlas tried...

Motivational Quote: "Success is not permanent and failure is not final. So, never stop working after success and never stop trying after failure."

One day a young man was standing in the middle of the town proclaiming that he had the most beautiful heart in the whole valley.

A large crowd gathered and they all admired his heart for it was perfect.

There was not a mark or a flaw in it.

Yes, they all agreed it truly was the most beautiful heart they had ever seen.

The young man was very proud and boasted more loudly about his beautiful heart.

Suddenly, an old man appeared at the front of the crowd and said, "Why your heart is not nearly as beautiful as mine."

The crowd and the young man looked at the old man's heart. It was beating strongly ... but full of scars. It had places where pieces had been removed and other pieces put in ... but they didn't fit quite right and there were several jagged edges.

In fact, in some places there were deep gouges where whole pieces were missing.

The people starred ... how could he say his heart is more beautiful, they thought?

The young man looked at the old man's heart and saw its state and laughed. "You must be joking," he said. "Compare your heart with mine ... mine is perfect and yours is a mess of scars and tears."

"Yes," said the old man, "Yours is perfect looking ... but I would never trade with you. You see, every scar represents a person to whom I have given my love ..... I tear out a piece of my heart and give it to them ... and often they give me a piece of their heart which fits into the empty place in my heart ... but because the pieces aren't exact, I have some rough edges, which I cherish, because they remind me of the love we shared.

Sometimes I have given pieces of my heart away ... and the other person hasn't returned a piece of his heart to me. These are the empty gouges ... giving love is taking a chance. Although these gouges are painful, they stay open, reminding me of the love I have for these people too ... and I hope someday they may return and fill the space I have waiting. So now do you see what true beauty is?"

The young man stood silently with tears running down his cheeks. He walked up to the old man, reached into his perfect young and beautiful heart, and ripped a piece out. He offered it to the old man with trembling hands.

The old man took his offering, placed it in his heart and then took a piece from his old scarred heart and placed it in the wound in the young man's heart.

It fit .... but not perfectly, as there were some jagged edges.

The young man looked at his heart, not perfect anymore but more beautiful than ever, since love from the old man's heart flowed into his.

They embraced and walked away side by side.
