They've been around for 7 years
Girls can now go to school in peace in certain parts of the country and Kabul is relatively safe.
I consider that a victory for my female brethren.
Okay 7 years. But they're on war for more than 10 years.
"Certain" parts of Afghanistan? I especially note the "relatively" word. No sarcasm.
One of my dad's acquaintance works on the United Nations, Kabul. According to her, the Talibans still dominate the majority of Afghan. Only a few of the major cities are under US control. About safety, UN officials like her is not allowed to go outside a certain territory unless special circumstances. And she's in Kabul. Yes, "relatively" safe!
More than 10 years of war, and still not dominated the whole of Afghanistan yet? Isn't the US the most powerful country in the world? Peace loving? Peace lovers try to solve through negotiation, not war.
Or should I say the Talibans are more powerful than the US! So powerful, that even after 10 years of "war" with the most "powerful" country, they are not yet defeated!
I'm not being sarcastic. But illustrating how the NATO has failed in Afghanistan. That is it.
