page 5, q 11......so draw a tangent to the point where x=2..n then take ny two points on it and then with the help of its co-ordinates calculate the gradient....gradient=(y₂-y₁)/(x₂-x₁)


page 6, q14.....1st calculate f(-5)=2(-5)+1=-9
            then,,,g(-9)=(-9²)+3=84
                            note: its -9*-9=81

ill post the answer to ur last ques in a few mins....

>>>-5=k500
>>>k=-0.01

then,,
>>>T=-0.01H
>>>-18=-0.01H
>>>H=1800m

therefore,,,height of the top of the mountain above sea level =1800+2500=4300m

note: v added 2500 bcz the ques was height above sea level nt above base camp

plz chk the answer with the mark scheme,,,,n if its rong plz lemme kno...

and ur answer to Q18 is wrong, the m/s says its 4300  wht did they get it from ?? and k = -0.01

okay....i attached u the file with the tangent drawn...but its nt too accurate...but yeah sure itll give u an idea as to how it has to be done.......on this line u take any two point n with the help of its co-ordinates u calculate the gradient with the formula specified in m earlier post.....

                (the height is negative because the base camp is considered 0 so anything below it is negative)


  x=-0.01*-2500
 x=25

m confused bcz in ques they say dat base camp is 2500m above sea level so hw cn it b in -ve

For the height above sea level the equation is T=-01(h-2500), h is the height above sea level. For T=-18 we have
h=-18/-0.01+2500=4300m

At sea level h=0 so T=-01(0-2500)=25
